Two Mates, One Camino, and Over $40,000 Raised for Kids with Brain Cancer

When Will and Steve laced up their boots and set off on the iconic Camino trail, they weren’t just taking on a personal challenge — they were walking with purpose. Their I Will Challenge the Camino fundraiser was inspired by a desire to help change the odds for young people facing brain cancer. What unfolded across every step, hill, village and sunrise was nothing short of extraordinary.

The Camino is known for being physically demanding and mentally transformative, but Will and Steve took on each day with determination, humour and heart — guided by the spirit of doing something tough for a cause that matters.

Along the way, they shared updates, photos and reflections that brought hundreds of people along for the journey. Their commitment resonated deeply with our community, inspiring donations, messages of support and reminders of why challenges like this are so powerful.

And the result?

They raised over $40,000 to support kids with brain cancer.

That’s $40,000 directly helping fund better treatments, care and research — bringing us closer to a world where kids diagnosed with brain cancer have better outcomes and brighter futures. Their impact will be felt far beyond the Camino.

To Will and Steve: thank you for every step, blister, early morning, late evening, and every moment of grit you poured into this challenge. Your effort, generosity and big hearts have made a real difference.

And to everyone who supported them — whether by donating, sharing their page, or cheering them on — thank you. Fundraisers like this show the strength of our community and the incredible things we can achieve together.

If you’re feeling inspired and want to take on your own I Will challenge, we’d love to hear from you. Whether it’s big, small, silly, tough or uniquely you — every challenge can help change the odds for young people with brain cancer.
