We have been approached by a Behavioural Science Unit in NSW that would like to speak to adolescents/young adults who've experienced brain cancer, who are not on active treatment, and live in Australia.
The study involves a questionnaire and a videoconference interview - I believe there is a small renumeration for your participation. The details are as follows:
Beyond Brain Cancer
We are inviting you to participate in a study exploring the impact of ‘surviving’ a brain cancer on adolescents and young adults, and how to adjust coping skills to meet their needs.
We would like to create a peer-support program to help adolescents and young adults cope with the changes and challenges after brain cancer treatment has finished.
Who can take part?
Anyone aged 15-40 years old who has experienced brain cancer and finished treatment that was successful in treating, controlling, or removing brain tumour.
Caregivers and health professionals who support and treat adolescents and young adults who have experienced brain cancer.
What does the study involve?
In a questionnaire and a videoconference interview we would like to hear about the changes and challenges experienced after brain cancer treatment has finished – including what it’s been like trying to get the psychological support that is wanted or needed.
We would like your feedback on how to improve an existing online group-based program – Recapture Life – for adolescent and young adult brain cancer ‘survivors’.
